This course presents opportunity to create a major body of artwork that you can really be proud of–but you will need to work hard, summon the muses and really go for it!

The course has both class-time and independent aspects. Some projects will be collaborative.

The expected level of engagement, effort and quality of work is very high, more so than 300 level classes.

Critiques will be challenging and engaging opportunities to push your work to the next level.

Coursework will be divided as follows:

Shorter Assignments/topics:
  • Contemplative approaches to photography
  • Working color strategies
  • Expressing meaning through choice of content
  • Advanced image processing
  • Advanced lighting strategies
  • There will be some history of photography
Projects:
  • Project 1
  • Project 2
  • Project 3
